PERPETUAL LESSONS: BlueFit run perpetual class programs, which means we run lessons continuously, including school holidays. There is a small break during Christmas and New Year, which will be communicated to you. The majority of program communication is by email, please

CANCELLATION: If you decide to cease your swim training with us, please ensure you communicate with your coach so they understand your reasons and can help address any concerns you may have.

SQUAD SPECIFIC POLICY:

MISSED SQUAD SESSIONS: Squad swimmers do not receive make-up lessons, if you are not able to attend your booked session this is a missed session. Due to the lane allocation and multiple bookings we do not have the lane space to safely cater for additional swimmers across all sessions.

Mini Squad and SwimFit will have the availability to mark swimmers absent and book make-up lessons. These will be available as per our make up lesson policy, 12 per a year and can be booked at the swimmers discretion.

LEARN TO SWIM MAKE UP POLICY

BlueFit is proud to offer make up lessons based on the below policy;

  1. The parent/care giver or swimmer is responsible for marking their absence & booking a make up lesson. This can only be done via the parent portal.
  2. If you do not mark yourself absent you will not be able to book a make up.
  3. We’ve updated our class make up policy to allow a longer notice period and consecutive make ups. With the new rules you can now mark yourself absent up to 8 weeks in advance and you have 12 make ups in a calendar year. This will allow for multiple make ups to take place in the same month.
  4. All absences can now be marked 8 weeks before but no less than 2 hours prior to the lesson. Once you mark yourself absent this can not be changed.
  5. Make up lessons can now be booked within 3 months of the marked absence. You will be able to book up a make lesson up to 2 weeks ahead of the class time.
  6. If a make up lesson is missed or not book in, this lesson will be forfeited.
  7. Make up lessons are non-refundable or transferrable.
  8. Make up lessons are subject to program availability. We do not guarantee you will be able to book a make up at a time you desire or that a place will be available.

  10. When moving or changing your booking you have the ability to access make ups owing on previous bookings provided they meet the above criteria and your customer account is not in arrears.

MEDICAL BREAK/INJURIES – These are considered and we will accommodate this break in training, which must be supported by documentation. This needs to be communicated at your facility at the time of your non attendance, not after the missed period. 

PAYMENT: Any outstanding fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of any lesson. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any outstanding amount must be cleared prior to attending the lesson.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Photography, including that from mobile phones, laptops or any other imagencapturing device is NOT permitted without the express permission of the BlueFit Staff. Please note CCTV operates in our facilities.

SWIPE CARDS: Swipe cards are issued to all students, these are required to be presented when requested. Should you lose your card you will be required to pay a replacement fee of $2.

LESSON ETIQUETTE: All participants must check in at reception prior to the lesson. Please do not enter the designated lesson area until lesson commencement. All students under the age of 10 must be supervised during their lesson. All students must be supervised whilst at the facility, including ‘Free-Time’ and ‘Before/After lesson activities’. Please note facility Terms & Conditions
apply to all students and their families.

SUPERVISION: All minors must be supervised by a responsible adult around all of our centres and during all of our classes/activities. All equipment and facilities are used at your own risk. All school age children are required to use their gender bathroom, alternatively we have family change rooms available for your convenience.

BEHAVIOUR: BlueFit follow a Behaviour policy within our program. Our staff provide one warning to students for disruptive or unsafe behaviour in the lesson. A second warning will result in sitting out of the pool missing a turn. If the behaviour continues your child may be removed from the class immediately. We have a structured class so that all students can learnand progress in a positive and fun environment.

ASSESSMENTS: Students are formally assessed every 4-6 weeks however students are monitored by their teachers each week. If you would like to know how your child is progressing please speak with a supervisor.

WAIVER AND RELEASE: During all such times that you are on BlueFit premises both your property and your person shall be at your own risk. You agree that BlueFit shall not be liable for any loss, damage of theft of any property belonging to you or your guest (including minors) occurring on BlueFit premises except where caused by gross negligence of BlueFit. Additionally, BlueFit shall not be liable for any death, personal Injury or illness occurring to you or your guest (including minors) on BlueFit premises or as a result of the use of any facilities or equipment provided by BlueFit, except to the extent that such death, personal injury or illness occurs from the gross negligence of BlueFit.

COMPLETE AGREEMENT AND SEVERABILITY: The terms of this Agreement constitute the full agreement between you and BlueFit, and no oral promises are made part thereof. If any part of this Agreement is deemed to be invalid or unenforceable by law, the provisions will be deleted from the Agreement but such deletion will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

ATTENDANCE & PAYMENT– All swimmers are to attend the sessions that they are booked into. All swimmers will be booked into and pay for the minimum number of required training sessions as per the squad training schedule requirements.

SWIMMER DEVELOPMENT & PROGRESS: All swimmers are constantly reviewed by the coaching team and will progress through the program as they meet and successfully achieve the required targets. The swimmer’s achievements will be monitored and appropriate changes will be communicated through the coaching teams.

SCHEDULED REST PERIODS – Please note that our squad fee structure is calculated based on an annual amount spread across fortnightly payments. Our fee structure considers annual public holidays and rest periods as indicated by our coaching teams and any major swim meets. These fees allow BlueFit to continue to provide experienced coaches who deliver a quality program across BlueFit Swimming.

 

SESSION ATTENDANCE – This is as per your booking, due to allocated lane space and coaching resources we need to know the number of swimmers, allowing us to ensure swimmer safety and ample opportunity for all swimmers to receive feedback and appropriate coaching.

SUPERVISION – BlueFit has a supervision policy for the safety of our communities. In line with this we will allow 11 year old squad swimmers to be brought into our facilities and remain without a parent while under the direction of our coaching teams. Swimmers will need to be picked up by parents from the facility.

INCLEMENT WEATHER – In the event of cancellation due to thunderstorms, the session will be missed or alternative activities may be arranged by the coaching team. This will be communicated from your site and sessions can be cancelled with short notice.

CANCELLATION: Class cancellation must be made by completing a Cancellation Request form through the parent portal or at reception. The request must be made at least two (2) weeks before your last lesson.

Squad Specific Policy;
