ADOLESCENT

Our Adolescent Program caters for teens who are not confident in an aquatic environment through to those who would like to perfect their swimming stroke and endurance.

Advanced advanced

This is for adults who have no swimming experience through to those who have limited swimming skills. We will teach basic floating and movement skills through to basic stroke skills. These lessons are 30 mins in duration, with a maximum of 5 students in a class.

Achievements

Confidently submerges entire body whilst exhaling.

Independently performs a 5 second front float, rotating to a 5 second back float and recovers to the wall.

Ability to push and glide on your front with correct head, body, arm and leg position.

Freestyle streamline with correct head, body and arm position and effective kick to 10m.

Basic Freestyle is performed with coordination, effective kick and a basic straight arm action.

Bubble, bubble, breathe – performs basic freestyle breathing drill with an effective kick, basic straight arm action, correct head position and breathing pattern.

Ability to push and glide on your back with correct head, body, arm and leg position.

Performs effective back kick to 10m with correct head and body position with arms by your side.

Has a basic understanding of how to include backstroke arm action with an effective kick and correct body and head position.

Independently kick on back with a basic sculling arm action, essential life saving skills.

This level is a session for adults who are able to swim Freestyle and Backstroke and have basic Breaststroke and Butterfly skills. We will refine the strokes and develop swimming endurance to enable you to swim further. These lessons are 45 mins in duration, with a maximum of 6 students in a class.

Achievements

Drop down underwater, push off in a streamline with correct head, body and arm position and continuous kick.

Confidently swim 50m freestyle, with a propulsive kick and efficient bilateral breathing.

Confidently swim 50m backstroke with a propulsive kick, maintaining continuous arm action and good body position.

Breaststroke swim 50m with correct timing, propulsive kick and building endurance.

The ability to perform a breaststroke turn with a breaststroke pull out, with correct timing and technique.

Butterfly with correct stroke timing, and building swimming endurance.

The ability to perform a butterfly turn with two hands on the wall, streamline kick off the wall.

The ability to swim 200m continuously, 50m of Freestyle. Backstroke, Breaststroke & Butterfly.

Confidently crouch dive, streamline with dolphin kicks, continue swimming Freestyle.

Understanding the use of pace clock during the lesson.
