Infants from 4 to 12 months of age are introduced to the aquatic environment with their parent or caregiver. The use of songs, games and activities introduces aquatic awareness to both adult and infant.
Infants from 12 month to 24 months of age are familarised with the aquatice environment with their parent or caregiver. The use of songs, games and activities encourages exploration and discovery.
Toddlers aged between 2 -3 years participate with a parent or caregiver in our transition class. This class work towards building confidencce, basic swimming skills and swimming independently. We encourge seperation from the parent which assists with the child's transition into our Preschool Program.
This class is for preschool aged children and is sometims the first learn to swim class for children. It is independent without a parent. This class works with complete beginners through to children being able to swim independently (with no floatation aids). If you child can not swim without assistance for 5m they will be a Clownfish.
This class is for preschool aged children and is for confident and independent swimmers. Children who can swim unaided without any assistance will continue to build strong foundational skills and begin to learn basic freestyle techniques.To be successful in this level children need to be swimming independently.
This class is for school aged children and is sometims the first learn to swim class for children. This class is for children who are not confidenet in the aquatic environment or can not swim independently. This class will build submersion and floatation skills, while building independent swimming.
This class is for school aged children and is for confident and independent swimmers. Children who can swim unaided without any assistance will continue to build strong foundational skills and begin to learn basic freestyle techniques.To be successful in this level children need to be swimming independently.
This level continues to build on freestyle and backstroke skills. We focus on the skills and build the strokes over short distances. This level ensures correct skills and the correction of childrens skills. To ensure correct techniques are developed. To be successful in this level children need have a basic freestyle technique including breathing and have a strong kick on their back. Children will find this level difficult if they can not swim freestyle with a basic breathing pattern.
This level continues to build on freestyle and backstroke skills and introduces children to breaststroke kick. We focus on the skills and build the strokes over short distances. This level ensures correct skills and the correction of childrens skills. To be successful in this level children need have a strong freestyle technique including breathing and backstroke. Children will find this level difficult if they can not swim freestyle or backstroke.
This level continues to build on freestyle and backstroke skills and a strong breaststroke kick. There is also an introduction to butterfly kick. We focus on the skills and build the strokes over short distances. This level ensures correct skills and the correction of childrens skills. To be successful in this level children need have a strong freestyle with a bilateral breathing pattern, backstroke and breaststroke kick wih feet turning out. Children will find this level difficult if they can not swim freestyle and backstroke have a basic understanding of breaststroke kick.
This level continues to build on freestyle and backstroke skills and a builds breaststroke and butterfly. We focus on the skills and build the strokes over short distances. This level ensures correct skills and the correction of childrens skills. To be successful in this level children need have strong freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke kick. Children will find this level difficult if they can not swim freestyle and backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly kick.
While we endeavour to make our online booking process as accurate as possible, we may require your child to change levels upon assessment. We assess all of our students regularly therefore if your child is able to progress this will happen swiftly. In the event that your child needs to be moved down into a more appropriate class, this will be communicated with you.
