Introducing the Dragonfly Program!
At BlueFit Swimming, we understand that every student is unique, with varying abilities and learning requirements. To ensure all swimmers feel confident and supported in the water, we proudly offer our Dragonfly Program to swimmers living with a disability at select BlueFit Swimming locations.
Who Can Access This Program?
The Dragonfly Program is specifically designed for students living with a disability who benefit from more one-on-one support through private lessons.
Skills Covered
Our Dragonfly Program focuses on developing essential aquatic skills, building confidence, and working towards personal goals in a supportive and tailored environment. Here’s what your child can expect to learn:
- • Confidence and Basics: Developing comfort and fundamental skills in the water.
- • Personal Goals & Safety: Working towards individual achievements while understanding water safety.
- • Participation: Engaging in swimming lessons and progressing towards their goals.
- • Submerging & Recovery: Gaining confidence to safely submerge and resurface.
- • Independent Swimming & Safety: Learning to swim independently and manage self-safety.
- • Basic Stroke Techniques
- • Deep Water Recovery: Enhancing deep water safety skills.
- • Behaviour in Lessons: Building focus and appropriate behaviour in a class setting.
Availability
These lessons depend on the availability of space at participating locations and staff who are confident and trained to support children with diverse needs.
