At BlueFit, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change at the last minute. To make things easier for our swim school families, we have simplified our absence policy. Now, you only need to mark your child absent up to 30 minutes before their scheduled lesson to be eligible for a make-up lesson.
We know that last-minute situations arise. Our new policy allows you the flexibility to notify us up to 30 minutes before the lesson, giving you more time to manage unexpected changes in your schedule.
If your child cannot attend their scheduled swim lesson, simply mark them as absent at least 30 minutes before the lesson starts.
This can be done quickly and easily through our online portal (or app). By doing this, you'll be able to access a make-up lesson, ensuring your child doesn't miss out on their swimming progress.
We are committed to providing a supportive and flexible environment for all our swim school families. Our new absence policy is just one of the ways we strive to make your experience with BlueFit as convenient and accommodating as possible. Thank you for your continued support and for being a valued part of our BlueFit community.
For any questions or further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to seeing your child continue to grow and excel in their swimming journey with us.
We are thrilled to announce several new enhancements to our swim school program, aimed at ensuring rapid progression, increased motivation, and easier communication for all our students and their families.
1. Identifying and Supporting Struggling Students
To ensure every student progresses swiftly and effectively, we have introduced more robust processes for identifying those who may be struggling with specific skills. Our dedicated instructors will now employ targeted assessments and personalised support plans, enabling us to address individual needs promptly and effectively.
2. Timed Swims for Advanced Students (Coming in 2025)
For our students at the Stingray level and above, we are introducing timed swims. This new initiative aims to encourage students to challenge themselves, set personal goals, and track their progress over time. Timed swims will not only enhance their competitive spirit but also provide a clear metric for improvement.
3. Motivational Skills Stickers (Coming in 2025)
To keep our young swimmers motivated and excited about their progress, we are introducing skills stickers. These colourful and engaging stickers will be awarded as students master new skills, providing them with tangible recognition of their achievements. This initiative is designed to boost morale and inspire continued effort and dedication.
4. Focusing on studentâs movement
We identified the need to focus training for our instructors on continuing to move students during lessons. This circle movement is important to help students learn the continual movement required for lap swimming and how to swim alongside other swimmers. Continual movement also gives students more time to practice the skill during their lesson and more opportunity for instructors to provide feedback. You will see this being implemented more consistently across our lessons.
These improvements reflect our ongoing dedication to providing a supportive, engaging, and effective learning environment for all our swim school participants.
We look forward to seeing our students thrive and achieve their swimming goals with these new enhancements.
Thank you for being a part of our BlueFit family and for trusting us to inspire community activity through our programs.
Our customer support team is available 8:00am â 8:00pm weekdays and 8:00am- 4:00pm weekends (AEST).
This team can assist with all booking and student enquiries and can move or adjust any booking across the country, however, we understand you may need to speak directly to the site team from time to time.
Weâre updating our phone system to make it easier for you to reach your swim school site directly when needed. With these changes will be an update to the voice prompts at the beginning of a call. This is to ensure your call can be directed to a site directly if you require it. Please be mindful that our team on the ground can get busy dealing with face-to-face enquiries, so if at any point they can not answer your phone call, your call will be redirected to our customer support team. If your call goes unanswered, our team will always call you back.
Please note, with this change our phone system may be down temporarily while the updates take place. We'll provide notice on our Facebook Page once we have a date from our carrier.
